The Pakistani government has launched the Ehsaas Rashan Program, which provides financial support to those in need. There is a portal for tracking Ehsaas Rashan online. The program is designed to assist people who are facing money problems and to offer assistance to families who are having trouble feeding their families. Families in need will receive Discounts on Rashan through the initiative, which they can use to buy food at local retailers. The Pakistani government decided to launch this project as a result of an increase in prices, and Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the Rashan Program on November 3, 2021. This program’s real objective is to support Pakistan’s poor citizens. The Families that are unable to purchase food for their kitchen and Rashan. According to the survey, this program will benefit 20 million families. The Ehsaas Rashan Program will provide benefits to close to 30 million people.

The program of Ehsaas Rashan Riayat aims to decrease the impact of inflation on society’s weaker sections. Each of the 20 million eligible families will receive a fixed subsidy of Rs. 1,000 per month for the purchase of flour, grains, and cooking oil under the scheme. As a result, each unit purchased of these three commodities will receive a 30% subsidy.
20 million families will be included in the Rs. 120 billion targeted subsidy scheme, and 130 million people—or 53% of the nation’s population—would receive benefits nationwide. Financial resources are split 35/65 between the federal government and all participating federating units (Punjab, KP, GB, and AJK). To find worthy households, the Ehsaas Socioeconomic Registry Survey is employed.
To serve beneficiaries through a nationwide network of Kiryana outlets chosen by NBP, Ehsaas has created a mobile point of sale system (mPOS) and app with digital capabilities.
Families who qualify may also receive the Rashan subsidy from Utility Stores. Families can enroll through 8171 if their monthly income is less than Rs. 50,000. Retailers selling Kiryana can register at https://ehsaasrashan.pass.gov.pk. Both an Android phone and a bank account are necessities for Kiryana sellers. For each subsidized transaction, the government has allotted Kiryana shops an 8% commission. Kiryana sellers can also win automobiles, motorcycles, cell phones, and other items.
